Support the Child Reauthorization Act (12/09)
School meals are an essential source of daily nutrition for many low-income children. In Sonoma County over 26,000 children qualify for free or reduced price school meals. The Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act which funds school nutrition programs and WIC is up for renewal and we are asking for additional funding to ensure that this valuable safety net for children at risk of hunger thrives. Take a moment to download postcards and mail to your federal legislators today. You will find their names and addresses listed under Contact your Representative. Thank-you for helping end hunger.
